The 20 minute recovery ritual that improves sleep
The 20 minute recovery ritual that improves sleep.
Having a hard time shutting down for sleep at night?
Do you “stress” about night time when sleep will not come?
The missing link between recovery and sleep is right here. And all it takes is 25 minutes twice to three times per week.
Since becoming a Certified Thermalist® and opening Element Outdoor Sauna I have witnessed massive transformations in hundreds of people. The Google testimonials tell beautiful stories by those whose lives have been changed, but more importantly, those who have continually maintained the practice of contrast therapy.
Outcomes include: calm minds, decreased anxieties, decreased depression and lowered addictions - in many cases removal of addictive substances - the ability to handle bad stressors in life, sharp mental focus, happier mood, the ease of nervous system regulation, decreased inflammation and pain - some instances - complete removal of aches and pains especially upon awakening from a deep sleep.
The benefits go deeper in the body and the mind. But markedly, the noted feelings are the immediate noticeable effects.
DEEP SLEEP: Many customers turned clients reportedly tell me that they actually SLEEP, the restful kind of sleep. Waking fully rested, alert and ready for the day. We know the markers of a great sleep are felt in the body - are you stiff, are you sore? The nervous system was not calm which translates into tiredness and the day has started off poorly because no rest was had.
THE SECRET WEAPON
SLEEP IS OUR MOST POWERFUL WEAPON TO RECOVERY - and the gateway to good and deep sleep is thermal therapy and contrast therapy.
How much do I need? 25- 30 minutes 1-3 times/ week of contrast therapy/ thermal therapy. Using cold water immersion (ice bath), sauna at a specific amount of time and more cold water immersion. Guided by Certified Thermalist® - you can do it. And another benefit to feeling the initial fear, then overcoming the fear, produces a three fold positive effect on your body. Creating new emotions of empowerment and control without the bad stress. = POWER
Recovery is crucial. Thermal therapy is where it is at. This is NOT a fad. The balance between heat and cold, and cold and heat is key. The use of this practice is what we call Hormetic Stress. Also known as GOOD STRESS.
The simplistic method includes breathing, when and how to use specific practices - the why comes from the immediate feeling before you step into the ice bath or the dry sauna. This is one key element most people never think about, nor use - but it is a vital component when conducting contrast therapy and thermal therapy.
The next step is how and when to ground the body and mind. The coherent factor.
With the specific detailed protocol I’ve created for clients and customers, especially to those who have a continued practice before coming to Element Outdoor Sauna, their experience post session is on a cosmic level. I love hearing and seeing the difference in them. Clients often share with me the profound peace they experience, and many tell me how proud they are within themselves.
PROOF IS IN THE MIRROR
Pre session and post session, depending on the client, I have them look into the mirror at the stress they carried coming into the session, compared to leaving a session. Markedly different in look and FEEL. You literally see the difference. You literally feel the difference.
LONGEVITY
The chase for quality + quantity living. Our recovery protocols with inflammation reduction and improving cellular resistance is key. Establishing a wellness routine that includes recovery therapy, thermal therapy and contrast therapy aids in human healthy aging… for all ages and stages of life.
Reduction of overwhelm and the emotional resilience triggered by cold water immersion provides natural energy to allow performances without the use of caffeine. This explains why so many athletes and athletic people stop using caffeine throughout the day. Use your body, tap into the natural internal pharmacy of your own being - ice bathing, cold immersive therapy has far more advantages than what you realize. We all reap the benefits.
But, to gain access to this inherent function of the body, (such a beautiful ancient function we have), it is important to begin wisely. Developing a smart practice. Basic foundation support by understanding the body and nervous system connection with rewiring the brain neuron activity to the body. It is powerful.
HOW TO BEGIN A WISE PRACTICE?
Seeking a professional who specializes in the practice of thermal therapy, contrast therapy and recovery therapy - Certified Thermalist®. The reason is evident. And with so many new spaces opening in the city with the misguided or ill informed “teachings” by those without full biology knowledge as well as understanding the health concerns of people who seek out this therapy, other places lack the guidance of someone knowledgeable with the HOW.
We are all different. So treating everyone the same most especially in a larger setting or group, people feel obligated to do what others are doing, unsafely.
Book a coaching session with a Certified Thermalist® is the perfect place to begin. Here in Toronto, or even Canada at present, I am the only one.
Are you ready to begin?
